One UN reform Building national ownership of the "One UN reform"
In September 2008, a parliamentary field visit to Tanzania undertook to examine the status of implementation of One United Nations Reform at the national level. UN Headquarters Hearing at UN
Peacekeeping and prevention of conflict
The Annual Parliamentary Hearing, convened jointly by the IPU and the Office of the President of the UN General Assembly, was held on 20 and 21 November, bringing together some two hundred legislators from over sixty countries for an interactive discussion with UN officials, government representatives and experts drawn from think tanks and civil society organizations. Four topics were chosen for discussion.
