Nearly every country in the world has some form of parliament. Parliamentary systems fall into two categories: bicameral and unicameral. 2023 marks the mid-point in the fifteen-year run toward the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The Parliamentary Forum at the UN High Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development (HLPF) will take stock of the critical role of parliaments in the implementation of the SDGs over the past few years and in accelerating action in the years ahead.
As per usual practice, the event will be open exclusively to members of parliament attending the HLPF session as part of their national delegations. Interested parliamentarians are encouraged to contact their missions in New York or the Foreign Ministry in their capitals to enquire about joining their national delegations and for all practical arrangements concerning accreditation.
