For over four decades, we have helped parliaments around the world strengthen their capacity to better serve their people. We have worked in partnership with over 65 parliaments and delivered hundreds of activities in the form of punctual support to fully fledged projects around the world. We have done this with funding predominantly from the United Nations Development Programme (through agreements with individual country offices), the European Union, Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida), and parliaments themselves.
You can watch a brief video on one of our programmes. In February 2016, Myanmar MPs from all political parties participated in an induction programme on separation of powers and MPs' legislative, oversight and representative functions. The programme was facilitated by MPs from nine countries in Europe and Asia and the Pacific.
