The Inter-Parliamentary Union regularly publishes books, periodicals, handbooks, as well as different reports and surveys. To see detailed information on these publications, proceed from the descriptions below.
Publications can be obtained from the IPU Secretariat in Geneva until the stock lasts or, in certain cases, from the respective publishing house. Most of these publications can be ordered on-line with the help of electronic order-forms.

REPORTS AND SURVEYS

This new series of IPU publications is addressed to legislators. Each handbook contains reference material, model instruments and examples pertaining to one specific field of legislative and regulatory practices.

A unique database of bibliographic references on the role, structure and working methods of national parliaments, on electoral systems, constitutional law, history and political science is being maintained and regularly updated by the Union's library. This database, known under the acronym PARLIT, can be consulted on-line at this site. The database includes references to over 7,000 books and studies as well as 30,000 articles taken from 160 periodicals.
