09:00 – 18:00 CEST (Geneva time )

The conference will bring together parliamentarians, UN representatives, national human rights institutions and civil society to address the growing pressures on fundamental freedoms and democratic institutions.

It will focus on how parliaments can translate international human rights commitments into concrete national action and respond to key challenges such as threats to freedom of expression, migration, children’s rights, disability, inclusion and the protection of parliamentarians themselves.

Highly interactive, the conference will encourage dynamic exchanges and will conclude with the adoption of a Geneva parliamentary call to action on human rights.

Seating is limited and a maximum of three delegates per delegation will be accepted.
