Taking stock of deliverables; mobilizing parliaments into action

The Parliamentary Event will be one of many official side events of this major UN conference designed to mobilize development finance for the Sustainable Development Goals. It will focus on highlighting the key deliverables of the conference and the steps parliaments need to take to ensure implementation of agreed commitments. 

Particular attention will be paid to the five core issues – aid, debt, taxation, trade, and investments - that were discussed at the joint IPU-UN Parliamentary Hearing on SDG finance held in February 2025 in New York.

Parliamentarians interested in attending this side event are advised to seek accreditation to the UN conference as part of their governmental delegations. More information, including date and time of the event, will be posted later in May.
