Parliaments for water: From commitments to action

The UN Water Conference will provide a key opportunity to accelerate progress on clean water and sanitation. Parliaments can play a critical role: through their core functions, diplomacy and cooperation, they can help turn political commitments into action.

The IPU and the Federal National Council of the United Arab Emirates will hold a Parliamentary Event in the Blue Zone of this Conference. It will bring together parliamentarians, parliamentary staff as well as other interested participants to exchange experiences and good practices on advancing SDG 6 and water-related commitments.

Parliamentarians interested in attending the event should seek accreditation for the UN Water Conference as part of their governmental delegations.
