Second webinar on reporting and exchange on recent or planned engagement on CEDAW

To support members of parliament in their efforts to implement the United Nations Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW), the IPU will hold a series of webinars for a select group of Parliaments.

The webinars are aimed at accompanying parliaments through the reporting process and supporting them in taking action for enhanced implementation of CEDAW.

The second part of this series of webinars, which will take place online on 9 December 2022, will provide MPs with an opportunity to interact with members from other parliaments and with CEDAW Committee experts on ways to report to the Committee and exchange on recent or planned engagement on CEDAW.

Invited Parliaments to the webinar are from countries reviewed by the CEDAW Committee at its 82nd and 83rd sessions:

- 82nd session (June-July 2022): Azerbaijan, Bolivia (Plurinational State of), Mongolia, Morocco, Namibia, Portugal, Türkiye, United Arab Emirates

- 83rd session (October 2022): Armenia, Belgium, Finland, Gambia, Honduras, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Switzerland, Ukraine
