Towards effective action for the right to a clean, healthy and sustainable environment

This round table will enable parliamentarians to exchange concrete examples of legislative, budgetary, and policy actions that advance the right to a clean, healthy, and sustainable environment—a prerequisite for fulfilling human rights. Champion MPs and members of the UN Committee on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights, will provide practical insights on the topic. Participants are invited to come prepared to share successful initiatives, challenges, and solutions to strengthen implementation of human rights and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) within ecological limits. Participants are kindly asked not to read any written statements to keep discussions lively and spontaneous, requests for the floor can be made upon registration.
