Nearly every country in the world has some form of parliament. Parliamentary systems fall into two categories: bicameral and unicameral. Out of 190 national parliaments in the world, 78 are bicameral (156 chambers) and 112 are unicameral, making a total of 268 chambers of parliament with some 44,000 members of parliament. Summary
The World Investment Forum is the pre-eminent global platform for investment and development. The 2023 World Investment Forum will take place in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, from 16 to 20 October 2023. Organized under the overall theme Investing in Sustainable Development, this multi-stakeholder event will address the challenges caused by today’s multiple crises, including the need to invest in food security, energy, health, supply chain resilience and productive capacity growth in the poorest countries. The Forum will feature a special session on 17 October focused on stimulating dialogue between parliamentarians, policy makers and business leaders.
