Greener Parliaments: The role of parliamentary administrations?

Summary

We will be conducting the same webinar twice: 10:00 – 11:00 CEST and 16:00 – 17:00 CEST

In the face of the growing climate crisis, parliaments are stepping up to lead the charge.

In March 2023, the IPU launched its climate campaign Parliaments for the Planet with the aim of fostering environmentally conscious practices within parliaments worldwide and supporting the implementation of the Paris Agreement.

The IPU and the Association of Secretaries General of Parliament are jointly hosting a webinar primarily targeted towards parliamentary administrations, including Secretaries General who will share first-hand insights and practical knowledge on driving sustainability and climate action within parliamentary contexts. The webinar will feature interactive discussions and Q&A sessions, fostering knowledge exchange and global collaboration.

To accommodate participants from various time zones, we are hosting two identical webinars on the same day. The primary language of both webinars will be English, and simultaneous interpretation services will be provided in French for both sessions. Furthermore, Arabic interpretation will be available exclusively during the morning (AM) webinar, while Spanish interpretation will be available exclusively during the afternoon (PM) webinar.

This unique opportunity brings together parliamentarians and secretaries general to collectively work towards greener parliaments and a more sustainable future.
