Transforming Parliaments: Digital services for members of parliament

Summary

Information services for parliamentarians have come a long way during the past decade, from web-based intranets providing access to legislative documents, to remote access and participation via mobile ‘MP briefcases’. The next step in digital services for members is to not only inform and facilitate their work, but to help them to be more effective by empowering their role in legislative evaluation and decision making.
