With the reopening of the historic Parliament building in January 2023, an innovative project was launched: the Newsroom of the Parliament of Austria. This modern communication hub is inspired by leading media organizations, offering real-time reporting on parliamentary proceedings. Its central mission is clear: to report objectively, independently and in a way that is accessible to all citizens.

The Austrian Parliamentary Budget Office (PBO) created an online Citizen’s Budget tool, helping MPs and the general public to visualize and explore the national budget. The PBO tells the story of how the tool was implemented and the response it received.
