The seminar, jointly organized by the Parliament of Trinidad and Tobago and the IPU, will build on the conclusions of the previous IPU activities in the Caribbean region, notably the regional seminars on the Sustainable Development Goals in Suriname in 2018 and in Trinidad and Tobago in 2019. Following a consultation with the parliaments of the region, the 2024 seminar will focus on climate change, including in the context of artificial intelligence and migration.

The seminar will aim to showcase the latest data and developments, promote dialogue with experts and among parliaments, and highlight good practices.
