The next United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP25) will take place from 2 to 13 December 2019 in Madrid, Spain. The Conference will take place under the Presidency of the Government of Chile and will be held with logistical support from the Government of Spain. The session will be an event of global importance; the fourth one on the long road to practical implementation of the Paris Agreement concluded in December 2015.

The IPU and the Spanish Congress of Deputies will organize a Parliamentary Meeting on the occasion of the Climate Change Conference. The Meeting will be held with a view to promoting exchanges for parliamentary action on climate change. 

The Parliamentary Meeting will take place on Tuesday, 10 December. The languages of the meeting will be English, French and Spanish.

Important notice: The IPU and the Spanish Congress of Deputies are not in a position to facilitate accreditation to COP25 or provide visa support for entry into Spain. Those matters are to be handled by each delegate individually.
